WWASP is using the new program Brat Camp to their advantage. Sadly this program is only going to serve to increase this multi-billion dollar industry. More children will be abuse and more will die. Here's the WWASP link

Yes, it is, I wish I had known about these 3 years ago when my teenage daughter was dealing with her drug addictions. Her father and I would have been able to get her the help she needed.

Too bad IP addresses arent posted with the postings so we can see if this is the same troll, a WWASPS edcon working the forums, or an actual moron  :silly:

Hey, Antigen - why not use masked, garbled IP addresses that are impossible to decode, but can be used to uniquely identify a poster so they cant masquerade?

You want to send your kid to a program?  While your kid may submit (temporarily), and suffer and have PTSD for years, YOU will also suffer, much more so than if you let your kid grow up without these abusive programs.  I promise.  Just ask my mom.  She feels terrible and guilty about sending me to PCS (and keeping me there) EVERY SINGLE DAY.  

And I'm a rather "normal" adult.  I finished college, have a good boyfriend, and a good job, ect...  I don't abuse drugs or whatever, didn't have babies as a teenager, ect...  But I am pissed.  I can forgive my parents for yelling and screaming and even hitting me as a kid, but I will never forgive them for sending me to Provo Canyon School.  Because sending your kid there is the most negligent, abusive, de-humanizing thing a parent can do.   :flame:

One need only search BRAT CAMP and numerous WWASP, ASPEN, THAYER and other sites appear. Of course they will use the ABC program to their advanatage and they will profit from it. As a result of the proliferation more abuse of all types, injuries and deaths will occure. Some day it will all be exposed.

I do think that somethings are getting a bit better-  though PCS and WASPS may get to do more advertising (via internet), there is also more info available to parents about these places (like this site), so even though these places may get more parents calling asking for info, there are larger and larger numbers of parents opting against these places.  This is evident to me by the fact that PCS has started recruiting "international students", from such places as Saudi Arabia (where internet access is severely limited and censored, and not available at all to some, particuarly women).  Obviously, they have seen a decline in enrollment of Americans.

That true, bandit, I forget where, but I've seen it mentioned more than once that there are a lot of Saudi Arabia kids, esp. at the boy's campus.  I heard there was a kid there that was the son of some Saudi Arabian dipolmat or official or royalty or something at Provo Canyon School.  It's kinda strange

yeah like a hash. say we could somehow take a sha-1 hash of every IP. you couldnt go backwards and get the IP-it's a one-way function. but its pretty much guaranteed to be unique. for every input message.

I do believe the Saudis are being bamboozled.  

I first heard of these "international" students (at Provo Canyon) a few years ago.  I knew some Saudis.   I sent a message, warning of Provo Canyon School, through a friend, to one princess who I went to school with.  Being that she is female, I don't know how far the message circulated.  

The internet is heavily censored (for all) in Saudi, and may be comletely unavailable to women.   Provo Canyon is preying on the ignorance of these people, they are banking on censorship.   I'm sure they saw a drop in their enrollment, and began recruiting overseas, in countries where information is not so easily available.

The Saudis must be an ideal target demographic- they have lots of money and live far, far away, and don't have much access to outside information.   Many of them don't totally understand American culture, so they wouldn't pick up real easily on the abuses at PCS.  They probably don't ask too many questions.  I bet the Saudi kids treat the unit staff like the peasants that they are.    

Is there anyway of finding out just how many "international students" have been to PCS?
